Division 1 West.
Tycroes 42 Crymych 12
Crymych slumped to their third defeat on the bounce when they were beaten by Tycroes following a largely poor performance.
The Preselimen played some decent rugby at times but mistake after mistake coupled with poor passing and some sloppy defending cost them dearly and it will be a case of back to the drawing board for their coaching set up.
The hosts who were also looking to pick up their first win of the season were made to look a far better outfit than they are as they took advantage of some poor defending to run in a number of soft tries.
Right winger Sion Jones was the hero of the afternoon for his side as he ran in for a hat trick and there were tries also for centre Luke Rees and livewire scrum half Aled James who impressed on his return to the team. Full back James Owens kicked over four conversions and three penalties.
Laurence Headlam and Nick Bevan crossed for the Crymych tries whilst Ifan Phillips added a conversion.
Crymych who remain firmly footed to the bottom of the table and who are the only side yet to register a point will be eager to put this right on Saturday when they entertain Llanelli Wanderers.
